Thanks to Seven Stories Press and my editor Cory Silverberg for their supportand enthusiasm in bringing this second edition of A is for Activist to life.

A Special thank you to Innosanto Nagara for the invitation to collaborate but most importantly for reminding us all, that socially conscious upbringing must begin in the earliest stages of life.
—Martha Gonzalez

—Innosanto Nagara

And a shout out to everyone else who shared feedback, sent me images of your  families and communities, and who encouraged this book in so many other ways. Counting on Community was truly a community effort.
